Right now is the best time to negotiate a better job in the construction skilled trades.
The day after Labor Day… you know, the week the kids go back to school. The very same week that marks the beginning of the end of construction season. Everyone feels it. There is a general sense of urgency that begins to permeate conversations about when projects will get started. And will they be done in time for the holidays?
“If only we had more help, we could get it done”, is the cry heard over and over.
I believe that right now is the sweet spot for finding your better job in the construction skilled trades.
If we haven’t talked to you in a bit then you can probably assume, that we are assuming, that you are thrilled with whatever you’re working at right now and are not going to call you unless you let us know that it’s not the case, and you actually do want something better.
So if you’re unhappy, underpaid, and underappreciated, then give us a shot at fixing that for you.
I’m not saying we are everybody’s magic bullet. But if you don’t let us know what’s going on in your head, then we cannot be expected to guess.
