The job of our Electrical Assembler is to outfit these machines and make them work in our plant. The control panels can be intense. They need to be wired and all of the connections made to the machine. Once it’s properly assembled, we take it all apart. Put it in crates and boxes. Then you and those crates get on a plane and fly to some remote aircraft building factory on the other side of the world. Once there, you put it all back together and teach them how to run it.
Good assemblers are in short supply—we know that. So if you don’t need any handholding we’ll pay you quite well. On the other hand, if you’re entry level, we’ll teach you how to properly wire a control panel from schematics.
The best candidates will have at least an Associates degree in electrical or similar field, or trade school.
Knowledge and Abilities:
- Ability to use basic testing equipment including digital volt meter
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics and circuit diagrams.
- Experience and ability to successfully use small hand tools, basic power hand tools and measurement devices
- Extreme attention to detail
- Will be familiar with electrical controls and PLC, CNC (Servo drives a plus).
- Experience with UL and NEC codes and terminology a plus.
