Downtown Buffalo Development Company is seeking to hire a Facilities Team Member aka Property Maintenance Person.
This full-time job is to be responsible for maintaining the buildings and grounds, overseeing the upkeep of equipment and supplies, handling and responding to maintenance requests of tenants and Property Managers, and (depending on your abilities) do basic cleaning and repairs when a property flips tenants.
Listed duties:
- Daily and weekly cleaning of all common areas and grounds
- Clean and make ready all vacated apartment units
- Determine and schedule repairs
- Ensure a safe environment for tenants and other team members Distribute tenant packages and mail as needed
- Oversee the maintenance and service of all heating, cooling, electrical, gas, plumbing and other functional systems within each property
- Handle and respond accordingly to all tenant maintenance requests
- Communicate daily with Property Managers and fulfill their daily maintenance requests
- Maintain accurate record of hours of work to be reported weekly Deliver, remove, and repair furniture for tenants as needed
- May assist with key distribution as directed by Property Manager Oversee grounds keeping and landscaping
- Seasonally maintain snow removal of all property lots including snow plowing, salting, shoveling, and snow blowing as needed to ensure safety and accessibility
- Must maintain professional and dependable relationships with all tenants and staff members
- Must be able to respond to emergency and after-hour calls
The ideal candidate will:
- Have remodeling experience or related maintenance experience
- Have a Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree
- Have valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Be able to problem solve, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks
- Be able to clearly communicate with supervisor, all staff members, and tenants
- Be a team player, ready and willing to assist in the field as needed
