Now Hiring: General Laborers for Construction and Service work.
A General Laborer might find himself doing a wide variety of work. You might find yourself on the job site of an electrician, carpenter, mason, plumber or roofer. You could be unloading material, cleaning debris, digging a ditch, pulling wire, bending pipe, or loading a job site. If you’re talented, you might quickly be referred to as a Helper or even a cutman.
Here’s what absolutely is required:
- The ability to carry a 60 lb bag of Quickcrete up a ladder
- A resume with solid work references (no unexplainable gaps in your timeline/work history)
- Determination to not fail
- A reliable car & valid license
A general laborer with no experience on a construction site can (and usually does) start at $20/hr. Once a person proves himself he can make between $22/hr and $23/hr. Once you’ve proven that you can hang, there is no reason you cannot go permanent if you want to. Most of our folks do.
