Industrial Maintenance Electrician for Silicon Manufacturing

We make silicon. Our two blast furnaces produce silicon metal and various ferroalloys by superheating coal, quartz, and limestone into molten rock. In 2008 we invested $50 million to expand our capacity to be able to produce 30,000 MT of silicon metal each year.

Three miles of conveyor moves material from trucks to an enormous rock crusher. From there, 50-ton overhead cranes move material from from Arc Furnaces to Ladle Cars. The motors that run our machines range from 10 hp to 1,250 hp.

We’re hiring an Industrial Maintenance Electrician to troubleshoot, repair and maintain these lines.

What you should know—for 8 months of the year (winter), the heat from the molten rock will be your friend. But during the summer you’ll be able to cancel your hot yoga classes 😉
