The job of our Project Manager is to solve problems. Maybe there is friction in the way people, traffic, or product is moving—and perhaps the solution is to rebuild a control center, parking lot, or storefront. In vastly oversimplified terms, the job is to find solutions and manage the building of proper project specifications.
You are not designing, but rather you are Managing your team of consultants, stakeholders, engineers, architects, and contractors, and then shepherding that process. You might run 10 or 20 projects at any given time. Your finished Job Scope and Specifications will be given to Construction to implement.
Preferred:
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering or related field with ten (10) or more years experience in engineering or capital project management or related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Structural engineering background is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proven experience negotiating egos and politics

Designs and details working drawings of general or specialized structures or components of structures. Conducts public informational meetings for proposed projects. Interacts with citizens to resolve problems, conflicts, and provide for public improvements. Assists in the formulation of engineering standards and specifications and office policy. Conducts engineering studies and makes recommendations.
