Skilled Residential Brick Mason

How soon needed and for how long?

Available immediately. Permanent full time.

Specific skills, certifications and/or education needed:

SKILLED mason. Able to build with a level.  Have an understanding of proper brick, block and concrete construction techniques. Read and understand drawings and able to lay out walls. Some rough carpentry skills for building concrete forms and steps are a definite plus.

The Job

A small residential masonry company is looking for an experienced mason to help with the workload. Please, only experienced masons apply. We aren’t looking for apprentices at this time. All candidates will be subject to a practical skills test before being on a job. The test will include building a brick pier and a block corner lead. Candidate must pass a background check. Own tools and transportation.

A list of some responsibilities includes but is not limited to: Laying brick, block, and stone, adhered stone veneer, individual brick replacement, grinding and repointing, forming and pouring small concrete jobs, finishing concrete, caulking, masonry cleaning.

Must be comfortable with the occasional customer watching you work. We do only the best work so quality is more important than quantity. However, minimum standards must be met. Skillful building with a level a MUST. We have no need for line burners.

Jobs are mostly smaller residential jobs where cleanliness is a high priority. Preserving customers’ landscaping and property is a high priority. Ideal candidates will be professional, courteous, diligent and responsible. Able to work without direct supervision and manage time well

There is room for growth for the right person willing to give 100% to their career. Some basic rough carpentry experience is a plus.
