Journal

What’s unique about most people’s job as a tradesman is that every day is different. Usually it’s in a different location, with different people, under different circumstances. For crying out loud, cover your butt and keep a log of each day. Imagine that one day you’re called to give testimony in a courtroom. or what’s more likely are asked to defend your timecard. Thats the first thing.

The second thing is: your worth—your value as a tradesman is your experience. What have you actually done? You might believe that you’re great and that you can do all kinds of things—if you can show me what you’ve done—that’s so much easier than pounding your chest.

Buy a hardcover journal and keep it with you everyday. It’s invaluable.
