New York State Paid Family Leave
In 2016, Governor Cuomo signed into law the nation’s strongest and most comprehensive Paid Family Leave policy.
Starting January 1, 2018, New York State’s Paid Family Leave provides New Yorkers with job-protected, paid leave to bond with a new child, care for a loved one with a serious health condition or to help relieve family pressures when someone is called to active military service abroad.
My wife does the HR for Sqrft and it is her belief that this program is a bunch of talk on the Governors part but with no substance. It will not help most poor people. It is aimed mostly at folks who work at banks and health insurance companies. …Its too bad. It actually sounded like a decent program.
