A good site work company to work for
Recently I was having a conversation with a friend of mine who happens to be in senior management at a local site work company. Our conversation was about how in spite of COVID, their company’s future was shaping up to be very, very busy, and do I know any sharp Project Managers, Estimators, or even Assistants that I could refer his way?
I told him that folks with talent were difficult to come by these days and asked what makes his company so special, besides the fact that they have so much work.
“Well, first of all”, he said, “I love working here! It’s a great atmosphere, they’ll pay six-figures for the right managers, and I can tell you we do some of the coolest dirt projects in WNY.” (see the pictures below)
He told me a story about how years ago (before he found his current employer) he had interviewed with National Fuel. They asked him what he liked about his job in construction. The reply he gave was about the hardwood floors he used to install and how much pride the finished product gave him. That it was beautiful—a work of art. The utility reminded him that none of his work would be seen when he was done. My friend knew that he wanted to do interesting work and looking back, is very happy he chose as he did.
What could be better than making a lot of money, working in a comfortable environment, all the while doing beautiful, interesting projects—for the most part, you’ll want to frame them and hang them on your office wall?
So the call is for Managers or Estimators, either bored or unhappy who are ready to make a move. Alternatively, we’d absolutely look at an Assistant or Administrator from a different part of construction. We certainly don’t mind teaching them about dirt!

This correspondence is quite infuriating. I have been trying to get a job through sqaurefoot for months. Always get juggled around from 3 different people claiming to be the supervisor. You have alot of internal conflicts. It’s too bad , your employer lists were very good .good luck.
Hi Troy, I looked up your file in our database and the last communication took place on July 24, 2020. On of our recruiters sent this email, Hi Troy, I got the application that you put in recently on ZipRecruiter. I emailed you last week about your previous application. The resume you sent in before had no dates and the one you sent in currently has dates that conflict with the info I have for you from when you had applied back in 2011. I’ve included below what I have for you as far as a work history. I’d like… Read more »

Hi Frank, I’m going to add “teacher” and “vocational instructor” to your resume. We did have a request for just such a thing over the summer but I didn’t know you were looking to do that. I always encourage everyone to call the office frequently to let us know where/what you’re moving towards in your career. Tory sent you an email back in July.
