Construction Personnel Group: A Successful Tour in Buffalo NY
I have worked in corporate, volunteer, large retail, and I have traveled to many countries around the world, some of them numerous times in my career. I have had the opportunity to work with people from across the globe. When I landed in Buffalo nearly two years ago, I was looking for a company that was progressive, that didn’t micro-manage, one where you could talk to the boss, one where the company channels were not so boxed in with corporate bureaucracy and a policy that there was no room for personal initiative and innovation. I wanted a place where I could flex my muscles and while working the company model, also have the opportunity to expand into new frontiers. Construction Personnel Group offered all of that. It hasn’t been a perfect ride. But it has been a challenging one, an educational one and one where I have learned.
Not to mention the fact that I have made many many good friends along the line, whether as clients or as employees I placed, or just the people that walked through our doors Buffalo people have proven to me that Buffalo is a special place. You can glamorize a city, and many are. You can read the newspapers and hear about the terrible winters in Buffalo or yet another lost season for the Bills. But if that’s all you’ve ever read about Buffalo you would be missing the TRUE heart of this city, which is its people. They are what makes this city special. The media can never capture that quality because they deal in sensationalism, not spirit and warmth.
Construction Personnel Group has for the most part been an engaging, interesting, enlightening and challenging journey. In my 1.5 years with the company I have engaged new clients, I have helped a reasonable number of people get jobs and put food on the table for their families. Hopefully I have helped to make Buffalo a little better, one man and one woman at time. For me, working at Construction Personnel Group was never just a job. I had a mission to help people, and I was also determined to put a wedge into the door of the HR industry in America which as been losing its identity over the years and has become an automated answering service instead of truly providing one on one help to everyone in need. I have made it my purpose to answer every email and resume I received, and in as much as possible, I have done that in my term here.
Construction Personnel Group is a good team. It has a good heart, and it’s my wish that in the coming years that they continue to provide their specialty services to Buffalo, NY state and even beyond.
