Starter Tool Kit for Any Trade
You just want a job in construction but are not really certain where you’ll end up?
Walk onto any job site with this rig over your shoulder and you will earn instant respect. Prove that you know how to use them and it puts you up a whole dozen or so notches!
You don’t have to buy it all at one time. My advice is to buy the tape measure first. Write your name on it and don’t let it out of your sight. It is the single most important tool you will use to advance your career.
Buy the hammer loop next. You can use any old belt to string it onto. Since the loop is so cheap you might as well buy the hammer with it.
Third, buy the utility knife and find yourself a 5-gallon bucket to put this stuff in. …and a carpenters pencil!
Next, get the pouch. Prices are all over the place on this. I do not advise spend mountains of money until you’ve worn your bags long enough to know what you want, don’t want, and why.
Finally go spend money on a decent belt.
Lastly, the $10 Stanley Wonder Pry Bar is indispensable.
