Welding Fabricator Working Foreman

Our Welding Fabricator Working Foreman wants to retire after 15 years on the job.

For 70 years we’ve fabricated and installed stairs and porch railings, mostly of wrought iron and steel pipe. We are known throughout Western New York for our quality and efficiency. Our modest team can produce around 500 projects a year.

Because we like our low-key environment, our new Foreman will need to be the most experienced and smartest person in the room. Besides welding and fabricating, layout and specs are likely the most important part of the job. If you can handle that then you’re half-way there!

Job Description:

• Manage one or two helpers (depending on the season and demand)
• Coordinate with sales to design and layout each project. I need someone to take field measurements and sketches, make adjustments, and present a clear picture of what the end product should be to the team.
• Fabricate, dip-coat paint, and stage for delivery
• There is less than an hour each day of administrative work. Everything else is leading by example.
