Entry Level Job for Machine Mechanic
This is on the job training–an Apprenticeship. It’s an entry-level job for a Machine Mechanic.
What’s in it for you is that within a few years, you will be able to fix just about anything. You’ll read schematics, learn electricity, hydraulics, and how to weld.
The winning candidate will be able to demonstrate a natural ability to solve problems. You’ll need to be able to think for yourself. We’re going to teach you the skills, but it’s your job to grasp them.
The person who wants this job is probably the guy who enjoys working outside. He doesn’t want to work in a factory. He doesn’t want the bureaucracy of twelve people looking over his shoulder. He knows what high-quality work looks like without pocket-protector Quality Control Guy micro-managing him. He can take care of himself.
In our company you mostly work outside–in all weather conditions. You drive to the client’s location where you then fix their loading dock, trash compactor, cardboard bailer, or whatever else needs fixing. It’s dirty work. But you’ll always be the guy that they can’t wait to see. You’ll always be the hero.
The job starts at $16ish–maybe $17. It really depends on what you bring to the table. If you already know how to weld and read schematics then, of course, you’re worth more. This is on the job training so we’re looking for the guy who’s worth investing in.
And just so you know, the upside on this job looks more like $80,000/yr—but first you need to become an expert.
