Not Just a Flagging Job
Assemble signage, drill, mount, organize, weld, paint, sell, rent, and deliver product. Most importantly, properly set up a work zone. Sometimes, you’ll flag traffic.
Controlling traffic is at the heart of what we do. Some of our work is predictable and exactly what you might expect. However, much of it is moving and dynamic. Our 24-hour emergency service will take us to accident scenes, disasters, and situations where thinking on your feet is definitely an important piece of the job.
This is an entry-level position. We will train the right person for this “not flagging” job.
We work year-round. In the winter months, when the rest of the construction world in Buffalo and Western New York is collecting unemployment, we are working in the shop, manufacturing signage to be used in the upcoming season.
The person we are looking for:
- Will have experience on a construction site. This job is posted under a variety of trades because almost any construction experience will qualify.
- Will have a reasonably clean driver’s license (no DWIs)
- Will be able to communicate effectively with Site Superintendents and Foremen
- Will understand and be able to see the big picture as it relates to controlling traffic.
We usually work from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, however, 8 to 10 hours of overtime is not uncommon.
Our pay scale starts at $18, but it is entirely possible to earn $65,000/year.
