Residential Construction Superintendent / Manager
Our search is for a Residential Construction Superintendent / Manager to manage and grow six to ten install crews throughout Western New York and parts of Pennsylvania.
The job is to hire, train, promote, and mentor your teams. You’ll organize and make sure that your people have whatever they need to get the job done quickly, efficiently, and with glowing reviews. Your objective is to stay one step ahead of the sales team. The number one metric that you will be responsible for is customer satisfaction.
The product will have to remain confidential for now. What I can say is that it is a relatively quick turnaround—preferably one day, in and out.
The ideal candidate:
- Will be able to show relevant management experience supervising more than one crew in a fast-paced install situation. I’m thinking roofing, siding, windows, doors, pools, garage doors, hardwood floors, and etc
- If from the commercial construction sector, would need to demonstrate in-home customer service experience.
- Might have run his own company for awhile
- Will be a “systems” type of thinker. Process and organization should be something that excites you and comes naturally.
- Should not be scared of a computer.
There is travel involved. You’ll likely spend 4-5 nights away from home each month.
Superintendents are the norm for commercial work here in Buffalo, however, it’s somewhat rare to hear about one in residential. On the whole, Buffalo just doesn’t have enough residential construction companies large enough to support that middle management position. I am excited to be able to offer this one.
